Mayor Billy Kenoi made a special stop at the Memorial for Korean and Vietnam Veterans at Kalakaua Park before heading up to the Hawaii Veterans Cemetery I to further honor our Veterans on Memorial Day.
The Mayor laid a wreath on the monument, said a silent prayer and gave a moving speech in remembrance of Veterans who died in both the Vietnam and Korean wars. He was joined by the Civil Air Patrol cadets of the Lyman Field Composite Squadron who posted the colors. The ceremony was organized by Brian Jordan, Sr. Vice Commandant, Camp Tarawa Detachment, Marine Corps League.
