Mayor Billy Kenoi played his part Tuesday in Bike to Work Week.

The mayor, kitted out with a bike and helmet on loan from Bike Works Kona, pedaled early Tuesday from the Kona Industrial Area to his offices at Hanama Place.

Laura Dierenfield, executive director for Peoples Advocacy for Trails Hawaii (PATH), said Kenoi set a great example to highlight Bike to Work Week and take a leadership role in making Kona and the entire island a healthy, safe and livable community.
