Bianelli’s and Blazin Steaks open at Kona Crossroads

MEDIA RELEASE

Kailua-Kona, Hawaii – Kona Crossroads welcomes two new exciting eateries, Blazin Steaks & Bianelli’s Gourmet Pizza, with a Grand Opening Celebration Saturday (May 15), from 12-2pm. The event will feature entertainment by Aunty Tutu & The Lindsey ‘Ohana, prize giveaways and more.

Franchise chain Blazin Steaks is known for its plate-lunch-style steak plates. The Kona Crossroads location serves each of these with two scoops of rice and organic greens, for $6. You can also find chicken, fish, and breakfast plates as well as combo plates that include garlic shrimp, and lots of delicious add-ons. The restaurant owner, Konawaena graduate Justin Sasaki, also owns a small location on Oahu. Blazin Steaks is open 9am – 9pm Mon-Thur and Saturday, and 9am – 10pm Friday and Saturday. Call (808) 329-2229 for more information.

Bianelli’s Gourmet Pizza and Kona Natural Foods were once neighbors in Kona Coast Shopping Center. Flash forward 20 years later, business owners George Goldstine and Rick Flack, respectively, have remained friends and just last month, Bianelli’s Gourmet Pizza opened inside Kona Natural Foods, replacing the existing deli. The deli, says Flack, was created to provide healthy grab & go food for the Kona community but seemed to fall short of expectations. Using only the highest quality ingredients available Bianelli’s can now continue with that vision, serving traditional hand tossed New York and Chicago deep dish style pizzas, calzones, sandwiches and salads. Newer items on the menu include organic lettuce, a gluten-free pizza crust and dairy-free mozzarella cheese. Bianelli’s is open Mon-Sat from 11am – 2pm and 5 – 9 pm (limited menu from 2-5pm) with seating available inside and out. Call (808) 334-0377 for more information.

Existing restaurant Manna BBQ also announces new ownership. They are open Mon-Sat 10am – 8:30pm and can be reached at (808) 334-0880.

Kona Crossroads Shopping Center is located at 75-1000 Henry Street in Kailua-Kona and offers a one-stop destination for great food, fun shopping and daily services. Management and leasing handled by CB Richard Ellis. For more information, call Nancy Sakamoto at (808) 334-0005.
