Kona woman charged with writing bad checks

Big Island police have arrested a 50-year-old Kailua-Kona woman and charged her with 22 offenses for reportedly writing checks at a local retail store in Kona against a closed account.

Detectives with the Area II Criminal Investigations Section arrested Terri-Lee K. Pascua on Monday afternoon and charged her with 10 counts of negotiating a worthless instrument, eight counts of second-degree theft, two counts of third-degree theft and two counts of fourth-degree theft.

Pascua is being held at the Kona police cellblock in lieu of $22,500 bail.
