The critically acclaimed production, Ha: Breath of Life, has been released onto DVD. The DVD, which features the complete production of “Ha: Breath of Life” along with 28-minutes of bonus features, is now on sale for $30 online.

“Our goal has always been to share the art and beauty of Polynesian cultures to the world. Through this DVD, everyone can experience the spectacle of Ha: Breath of Life, time-and-time again,” said PCC President Von D. Orgill. “The DVD also allows us to share the immensely powerful Ha experience with those who are unable to visit us in person.”

Premiered in 2009, the $3 million night show features more than 100 performers and is presented in the 2,675-seat Pacific Theater. “Ha: Breath of Life” tells every man’s story through the life of Mana. The story beings at Mana’s birth and follows his journey through the universal life themes of boyhood, young love, respect and responsibility. From the apprehension of youth, to the stirrings of young love, and even the mourning of death, Ha takes the audience on an emotion-filled ride through the sights and sounds of Polynesia.

The blu-ray version of the show will be released in the second quarter of 2010.

Founded in 1963 as a non-profit organization, the PCC has entertained more than 34 million visitors, while preserving and portraying the culture, arts and crafts of Polynesia to the rest of the world.

In addition, the PCC has provided financial assistance to nearly 17,000 young people from more than 70 different countries while they attend Brigham Young University-Hawaii. As a non-profit organization, 100 percent of PCC’s revenue is used for daily operations and to support education.
