The junior southpaw posted a 1.29 earned run average and struck out 11 batters in 5-1 win over Dixie State on April 13. He tossed a complete, seven-inning game, allowed one earned run on four hits and allowed one extra-base hit – a double. Dixie State managed to hit just .167.

At the plate he hit .500 in four starts that included a game-winning walk-off grand slam in a 5-4 victory. In the series, he was 5 for 10 with four RBI, a double, a homer and two runs scored.
