Great food and music helps Parker School

MEDIA RELEASE

On Friday, April 23, Parker School will hold a fund raiser at the Blue Dragon restaurant. All funds raised will go to the Parker School music program.

“We thank the Blue Dragon for hosting a similar event earlier this year which helped us provide an after school music enrichment program for our students” said Marilyn Fitzgerald, vice president of the Parent Teacher Student Organization.

“We want people to come out and have a great time while helping the school, said Doug Beaton, president of the PTSO.” I cannot think of a better place to eat great food and listen to live music, Doug continued.

The Blue Dragon will donate 25% of all gross proceeds from the evening’s event. The music is being provided by Uncle Boogie, who plays classic rock, blues, and Latin.

The Blue Dragon features a diverse and distinctive menu and wide range of music. The owners have made it their mission to provide guests with a memorable dining and music experience. “We are keenly focused on fresh, contemporary and consistently outstanding food and music,” said manager Jenny Hackleman. “We use as much organic and local produce as possible, much of which comes from a farm managed by the Blue Dragon, as well as Sage Farms in Hawi,” Hackleman continued.

“I love the food, it’s just great!” said Lloyd Francois, a local architect. “There is no other place like it on the island. The music is outstanding, the staff makes you feel like you are in a small neighborhood environment and the food is priced really well. That is a hard combination to beat,” continued Lloyd.

Reservations are highly recommended.
