Family Support Services of West Hawaii has hired Patrick “Paki” Story as its new executive director.
For the last 4 years, Story has served as program director for the Healthy Start and Enhanced Healthy Start programs, and more recently as program manager for the Kailua-Kona and Ka’u Child Development Programs at Family Support Services of West Hawaii. Previously, he was a program director for the Homeless Services Center in Santa Cruz, Ca.
Story is a graduate of New College of California with a bachelor of arts degree in program development and of John F. Kennedy University in Campbell, Calif., where he earned a master’s degree in counseling psychology, with specializations in marriage and family therapy as well as expressive arts therapy.
He is also a certified substance abuse counselor in Hawaii.
