Sheraton earns Elite Gold certification from meetings group

MEDIA RELEASE

Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa was recently awarded Elite Gold certification by Elite Meetings International, Inc.

The endorsement from the Elite Meetings Advisory Board, an independent panel of veteran meeting planners and hoteliers, is given only to properties offering exceptional experiences for groups.

Following standards for group meetings and incentives properties, Elite Gold criteria was developed in response to demands from the more than 20,000 meeting professionals who visit EliteMeetings.com to research and book high-end hotels and resorts.

“Meeting planners know that Elite Gold certification cannot be purchased,” said Sheraton Keauhou Bay General Manager Tetsuji Yamazaki. “This certification acknowledges years of hard work by our staff who welcome guests each and every day with extraordinary Aloha.”

Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa recently announced plans to begin in-room enhancements at the 521-room, 22 acre oceanfront resort, which will help to insure Elite Gold status for years to come. The resort is home to the Kona Coast’s largest meeting facility, the Keauhou Convention Center with more than 22,000 square feet indoor and out.
