Green-and-White Day will be celebrated in Pāhoa on Saturday, March 20, with a parade to honor the Pāhoa High School boys basketball team, winners of the state Division II championship on March 6 in Honolulu.

The Hawai‘i County Band will be escorting team members, coaches and Pāhoa High cheerleaders who will be riding in classic cars along the parade route: Old Government Road through downtown Pāhoa from Apaa (Rubbish Dump) Road to Pāhoa High School. The parade starts at 2 p.m.

The Daggers became the first Big Island team ever to win a state Division II championship and have brought tremendous positive recognition to their school and community by their performance both on and off the court during the recent tournament.

So come and let them know how much the community appreciates their accomplishment. Wear green and white and salute the champion Daggers this Saturday, 2 p.m. in downtown Pahoa. The Main Street Pāhoa Association and County of Hawai‘i are co-sponsors of the event.
