County Immigration Information Office extends outreach to Waimea, Naalehu

MEDIA RELEASE

Beginning this month, the Immigration Information Specialist for the county, Rose Bautista, will be available to meet with constituents in Waimea every second Friday of the month, and in Naalehu every fourth Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at both locations.

The Immigration Info Office currently provides outreach in Kailua-Kona every third Friday of the month at the Kona Mayor’s Office. If a scheduled Friday falls on a holiday, the outreach will be scheduled on the Thursday before the holiday.

Waimea outreach will meet at Councilmember Pete Hoffmann’s office at 64-1067 Mamalahoa Highway, Suite C-5, Kamuela. Naalehu outreach will meet at the Naalehu Community Center, 95-5635 Mamalahoa Highway, Naalehu.

The County Immigration Information Office provides assistance and information on immigration-related issues and concerns to the constituents of Hawaii County. It does not provide legal advice. The office also disseminates USCIS immigration forms including Petitions for Alien Relatives and Fiances, Adjustments of Status, Employment Authorization Documents, I-9 Employment Verification Forms, Affidavits of Support, and US Naturalization and Citizenship applications.

The main office in Hilo recently relocated to the newly renovated County of Hawaii Building at 25 Aupuni Street, Suite 2601, Hilo. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Appointments to see Bautista are recommended. Call 961-8220.
