MEDIA RELEASE

Justin Smith paced the University of Hawaii at Hilo with 27 points in a losing effort as the Vulcans dropped a Pacific West Conference game to Brigham Young University-Hawaii 75-69 in the Canon Activities Center in Laie, Hawaii.

The Vulcans are 13-10 overall and 7-6 in the PacWest while the Seasiders are 16-5 overall and 10-2 in the PacWest.

The 6-foot-6 junior forward hit 11 of 18 shots from the field and 5 of 7 from the free throw line. He also pulled in five rebounds.

Bryan Ngo added 14 points while Lavell Shipman had 13.
