Updated: Man wanted in connection with Hilo theft arrested in Oregon

Big Island police have confirmed the whereabouts of Michael Foley-Long, who was wanted for questioning in connection with a theft investigation.

He was arrested for bank robbery in East Portland Oregon under the name Michael Kirk Foley. He is being held on federal charges.

Big Island police are searching for a 34-year-old man wanted for questioning in connection with a theft investigation which occurred in Hilo on September 18, 2009.

Michael Foley-Long is described as Caucasian, 6-foot, 200 pounds with green eyes and brown hair.

Police ask that anyone with information on his whereabouts call Detective Reed Mahuna at 961-2384 or the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
