ReefTalk: Tales of whales and monk seals (Feb. 16)

Attend a free educational ReefTalk on Tuesday, Feb. 16, at the Thelma Parker Library in Waimea at 6:30 p.m. The talk will feature Justin Viezbicke, Marine Conservation Coordinator, The Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary.

Viezbicke will report on a wildly busy year of disentangling monk seals and whales. He and his volunteers have monitored the population of five monk seals along the Big Island shores and counted whales. Learn how you can join this volunteer group to share in the adventures.
