‘Swing into Spring’ dinner gala benefit coming up Saturday (Feb 27)

Kona Festivale Chorale announces its 12th annual “Swing Into Spring” Dinner Gala Benefit, to be presented the evening of Saturday, February 27, at King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel in its newly renovated banquet facility. The event includes a dinner buffet, live and silent auctions with David Rees-Thomas, and a full evening of entertainment including the dinner/ dance music of Bill Noble, and a live cabarét show featuring memorable moments from Roger’s and Hammerstein’s immortal classic “South Pacific.”

Festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. with live and silent auction items preview. At 6:30 p.m. guests will be seated for a dinner buffet to the dinner/dance music of Bill Noble & Company, and headlining the evening’s entertainment at 7:30 p.m. will be memorable moments from the musical “South Pacific” featuring Jo-Anna Boshard, Misty Mistler, Carson Wilcox, and Roberta King and the Gloryland & Celebration Singers. Featured selections will include “Dite Moi”; “Cockeyed Optimist”; “Some Enchanted Evening”; “Bloody Mary”; “My Girl Back Home”; “There is Nothin’ Like a Dame”; “Bali Hai”; “I’m Gonna Wash That Man Right Out of My Hair”; “Younger Than Springtime”; “I’m In Love With a Wonderful Guy”; “Happy Talk”; “This Nearly Was Mine”; and “Honey Bun”. Immediately following the show will be a live auction with David Rees-Thomas, and concluding the festivities will be afterglow dancing until 10:00 p.m.

“Swing Into Spring” Dinner Gala is an annual event held in support of Kona Festivale Chorale’s current concert season. Now in its 22nd year, the chorale presents four contrasting venues which include “Celebration of Christmas In Music”; “Swing Into Spring” Dinner Gala; “Pops Menagerie”; and “SingSpiration” as a regular part of its season of events.

Dinner reservations for the 12th annual “Swing Into Spring’ Dinner Gala are modestly priced at $65.00 per person (reserved seating), which includes a generous buffet, participation in live and silent auctions, the evening’s entertainment, and tax and gratuity. Table’s of ten (10) are also available at a 10% discount. Reservations may be purchased by Visa/MasterCard through the Kona Festivale Chorale office at 331-1115, or, through any “Festivale Chorale” member. All sales are final.
