Chief Harry S. Kubojiri has promoted five Big Island police officers to the rank of sergeant.

Sergeants Cory L. Koi, Michael K. Riviera and Marvin K. Troutman are assigned to Kona Patrol. Sergeant Akira E. Edmoundson is assigned to the Ka’Å« District. Sergeant Reynold H. Kahalewai is assigned to the Human Resources Section in the Administrative Bureau.

The promotions took effect Monday (February 1.)
