Hydrant flow tests slated in Captain Cook (Jan. 28)

AFFECTED AREA: MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY BETWEEN NAPOOPOO JUNCTION AND KEALAKEKUA RANCH CENTER, INCLUDING CAPTAIN COOK SUBDIVISION, TANAKA SUBDIVISION, COOK’S LANDING SUBDIVISION, AND ALL SIDE STREETS AND ROADS; CAPTAIN COOK.

The Department of Water Supply will be conducting a fire hydrant flow test at a hydrant along Mamalahoa Highway, between Rodney Yano Hall and Captain Cook Post Office Center, on Thursday, Jan. 28 between the hours of 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.

The affected area may experience slight discolored and turbid water for several hours after the test. Customers are advised to refrain from washing clothes and store a container of water for their drinking needs until the supply of water is restored to normal.
