Vulcan basketball fans can help out the Food Bank Saturday

The University of Hawaii at Hilo and Big Island Toyota are teaming up to fill up a Scion Hatchback for the Hawaii Food Bank.

On Saturday, January 16, the Vulcans host Brigham Young University-Hawaii in a Pacific West Conference doubleheader in the UHH gymnasium. The women face-off at 5:30 p.m. while the men match-up at 7:30 p.m.

Canned and packaged goods brought to the game will be deposited inside a Scion parked outside the gymnasium from 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. All items will be donated to the Hawaii Food Bank.

At halftime of the men’s game, Big Island Toyota will sponsor a “Flash Mob Dance“. People or groups interested in participating should contact coordinator Susan Jung at (808)974-2280 or submit your name, group affiliation, e-mail address and contact number to sjung@bigislandtoyota.com
