PATH and Friends for Fitness invite the community to help ring in a healthy and active 2010 with the inaugural New Year Family Bike Bash and Winter Walk.

The event is 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 2 at Great American Storage, 74-5499 Loloku Street behind Target.

Start off with a fun one mile bike ride to Makaeo (Old Airport Park) and then complete a 0.3 or 0.7 mile walk/run on the Makaeo Walking/Jogging Path to earn a PATH sticker. Then head back to Great American Storage for some ice cold lemonade and refreshments.

The event is free and open to the public.
