Hawaii 24/7 has learned Nan Inc., a Honolulu-based contracting company, was the lowest bidder for the first phase of Ane Keohokalole Highway, or the Kona Mid-Level Road.

The $29.9 million bid includes construction of the road and grading for the second phase between Kealakehe Parkway and Hina Lani Street.

Other bids came in at $32.5 million and $36.5 million.
