Firefighters continue wet down hotspots and patrol the perimeter of a brushfire at Kealakekua Ranch on Monday (Dec 28).
The burn area involves 300 acres of pasture and open forest land at the 5,000 foot level. Four bulldozers cut fire breaks as the fire department’s Chopper One performed aerial water drops and Chopper Two was used to survey the scene from air.
There have been no injuries reported, no structures involved and no road closures. The land is owned by Pace and Bishop Estate.
