The night roadwork to resurface portions of Māmalahoa Highway in South Kona is suspended because of an equipment breakdown.

On November 15, a leveling course was applied to smooth rough sections in three areas prior to resurfacing Highway 11. On December13, night roadwork resumed and two lanes were resurfaced ending at Haukapila Road before the equipment failed on December 22.

Roadwork to complete the last mile will resume in January and we will let you know the schedule.
