MEDIA RELEASE

When Queens’ MarketPlace presents the first-ever “Waikoloa Couture” show  Tuesday, December 22, it will not only spotlight trendy fashions on the runway, but will also have bling, bikinis and board shorts, a hip-hop routine featuring Lids, and more surprises.

The show begins at 6 p.m. in the Coronation Pavilion, and featuring 60 professional models from Focus International Hawaii, with live music by Kawekiu, Randy Ressler and Jim Elliott.

Focus International Hawaii has created a unique fashion show, showcasing different products from Queens’ MarketPlace retailers onstage, that will wow the crowd.

“It is not just for the grownups — we’ve got fun toys and children’s clothing — and the latest surf wear from Local Motion and Quiksilver for you surfers out there who saw the Eddie Aikau surf meet at Waimea Bay this past week,” said Sales & Operations Manager Margo Mau Bunnell.  “This is a big mahalo from Queens’ MarketPlace to the community for their continuous support.”

Since it opened in 2007, Queens’ MarketPlace in Waikoloa Beach Resort has earned a reputation among visitors and kamaaina as “the gathering place of the Kohala Coast,” full of shopping opportunities, services and great food, along with entertainment and arts programs, movies under the stars and contemporary concerts in Waikoloa Bowl at Queens’ Gardens.

There is no admission charge and the community is welcome to attend.  For more information, visit www.WaikoloaBeachResort.com or call 886-8822.
