Kayce Kirihara turned in a solid performance despite the University of Hawaii at Hilo’s 78-55 loss to St. Martin’s College in an NCAA Division II West Region game in Lacey, Wash.
The Vulcans are 2-6 while the Saints are 3-2.
The junior guard led the Vulcans with 17 points and four assists with only one turnover. She was 7 of 11 from the field and 1 of 2 from 3-point range.
Hina Kimitete added 13 points.
The Vulcans lost the battle of the boards 51-23.
