It’s tip-off time… The girls preseason basketball game got started when Keaau and Waimea (Kauai) tipped of at the Waiakea Girls Tournament Thursday (Dec 3). Keaau def. Waimea 41-33. The high scorer for Keaau was Jacy Pagala with 8 points and for Waimea it was Erin Connelly with 9 points. Other teams in the tournament were Ka’u, Honoka’a, Mililani, Hilo, Pearl City, and the host team Waiakea. Action continues on Friday and Saturday.
