Lovette Rosales Llantos, a realtor at McArthur Company and Sotheby’s International Realty in Kailua-Kona, has been selected as one of the Top 100 Most Influential Filipina Women in the United States.

She was selected from a field of movers and shakers and who’s who across the nation including former Big Island mayor and state senator Lorraine Inouye.

The award was given by The Filipina Women’s Network (FWN), which selects individuals for their exceptional work in their fields of expertise and for their inspiring leadership and achievements in the U.S. workplace and communities.

The selection process included personal interviews of the qualified nominees based on six categories and selection criteria conducted by a team of past awardees. The scores were tabulated with the help of members of the Filipino American Association of Certified Public Accountants.

“As a realtor, there is no better feeling than to help people realize their dream of homeownership. As a lifelong community volunteer, it gives me tremendous personal satisfaction to help in some way improve the lives of those less fortunate,” Llantos said. “So, to receive an award for what I love and for what what drives and inspires me is a blessing and a welcome surprise.”

With the support of her husband, son and mother, Llantos accepted the award Oct. 30 at the Sixth Filipina Leadership Summit at the Claremont Resort in Berkeley, Calif.

FWN is a non-profit association for women of Philippine ancestry based in the United States.  FWN’s mission is to advance Filipina women in the U.S. workplace through programs and activities that enhance public perceptions of Filipina women’s capacities to lead, change biases against Filipina women’s leadership abilities, and build the Filipina community’s pipeline of qualified leaders, to increase the odds that some will rise to the president position in all sectors.
