Currently the Motor Vehicle and Driver’s License offices across the island are closed. This is due to a Fiber Optic Cable problem originating from Oahu.

Currently State Workers on Oahu that repair issues with fiber optic communications to the neighbor islands are diligently working on this issue. The Vehicle Registration and Driver’s Licensing Division are sorry for the inconvenience this is causing.

The system could be finished being repaired at any minute or it might take a few more hours. We are dependent upon the workers trying to fix it at this time. Thank you for your patience.

Please call the office before going in to see if they are open and running. The Driver’s License number is 961-2223, and Motor Vehicle Registration is 961-8351.
