MEDIA RELEASE

WAIMEA, Island of Hawaii—Second and third grade students at Hawaii Preparatory Academy (HPA) will welcome the holiday season with their presentation of The Twelve Days of Christmas, at 1:45 p.m. on Friday, December 4. The musical performance, which is free and open to the public, will be held at Gates Performing Arts Center on the school’s Upper Campus.

The traditional Christmas carol, The Twelve Days of Christmas, reminds us of the wonderful gifts we are grateful for during the Christmas season—all of them. Well, almost all of them. This musical production focuses on the most important gift, the gift of love. Through song, dance, and dialogue, HPA’s second and third graders rediscover for themselves and reveal to their audience this most precious gift of all.

This is the second of a series of musical productions by HPA’s Lower School students. The kindergarten and first grade classes will present the next show at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 5, 2010.
