BISAC celebrates ‘Gathering of Families’

Big Island Substance Abuse Council recently hosted its 5th Annual Recovery Day at Konawaena Elementary School –  “Aha O Na Ohana,” or “Gathering of Families.”

The celebration of families in recovery included: pule by Brian Grace; welcome by Dr. Stephen Zuniga, CEO of BISAC; Proclamation from Mayor Billy Kenoi presented by Margaret Masunaga, county Deputy Planning Director; speech from Judge Ronald Ibarra; and music by Likeke Tranio Jr. and Bolo.
