Governor’s East Hawaii council briefing on health facilities

The Governor’s Council of Neighbor Island Advisors for East Hawaii meets 5:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28 at Aupuni Center Conference Room. The public is invited to attend. 

Hilo Medical Center CEO Howard Ainsley will present to the council a brief overview of the facility and its programs, as well as discuss some of the challenges the center faces. 

In addition, Bay Clinic CEO Paul Strauss will present an overview of the Bay Clinic. 

The Governor’s Council of Neighbor Island Advisors for East Hawaii holds monthly public meetings to seek community input, advise the governor of important issues and make recommendations for state boards and commissions. 

Members of the East Hawaii Council are Julie Hugo, Alton Okinaka, Norman Stahl, Carol VanCamp, Al Nakaji, Scott Enright and Jennifer Zelko.
