The University of Hawaii at Hilo beat Cal State East Bay 3-0 in an NCAA II West Region match at the Aqua Hotel Invitational in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Set scores were 25-17, 25-20 and 25-11.

“We left last night’s match pretty confident that we didn’t play as well as we were capable of,” *UHH head coach Bruce Atkinson* said. “We developed a game plan and executed it very well. We were able to stay in system the majority of the match and had terrific results.”

The Vulcans (2-0) next face Montana State University-Billings in a noon match on Saturday, August 29 at St. Andrew’s Priory.
