County council votes to rescind leadership change of June 16

During Tuesday’s special meeting, the Hawaii County Council reverses the June 16 decision to reorganize the leadership roles. The reorganization was the subject of a lawsuit filed by West Hawaii Today over whether council members broke the state’s Sunshine Law. 

In an effort to fix that, the council agreed to revert to it previous line-up, re-vote on everything that came before the new leadership, and then attempt to reorganize.
