Famed Tianamen Square photojournalist visting the Big Island

Former Associated press photographer Jeff Widener is seen Sunday with his world-famous picture that depicts an unknown protester halting advancing tanks heading towards Tianamen square on June 5, 1989.  Widener, who is on the Big Island to shoot photos for a book about Hawaii, recently returned to Beijing, China for the 20th anniversary of the student uprising in Tianamen Square.

Widener, who is on the Big Island to shoot photos for a book about Hawaii, recently returned to Beijing, China for the 20th anniversary of the student uprising in Tianamen Square.
