A minor earthquake occurred at 4:12:36 PM (HST) on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 .
The magnitude 3.3 event occurred 7 km (4 miles) SSW of Mauna Loa Summit.
The hypocentral depth is 2 km ( 1 mile).
