Iconic singer and dancer Michael Jackson, who collapsed and died Thursday, June 25 in California, played his very last full length concert in the United States here in Hawaii back in 1997.

Jackson, who has sold more than 750 million albums worldwide and won 13 Grammy Awards, played two Aloha Stadium shows in January 1997 during the HIStory World Tour.

That tour marked his first U.S. dates since 1989.

Jackson had been planning an unprecedented 50 concerts in London beginning next month.

He leaves three children: Michael Joseph Jackson II, or Prince Michael I, 12; Paris Michael Katherine Jackson, 11; and Prince Michael II, or Blanket, 7. An autopsy is scheduled for Friday for try to determine the exact cause of death.
