MEDIA RELEASE
Mary Robblee will present a children’s program on water conservation at 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 24 at Kailua-Kona Public Library.
The presentation is in conjunction with the Summer Reading Program, but all ages are welcome. Â
By using simple food coloring, the Kona Soil and Water Conservation District’s water model will show that water does move underground and can impact oceans, lakes and streams.  You will get a sense for what can happen to our aquifers, the source of most of our drinking water in Hawaii, and our oceans if we do not protect the aquifers from pollution.  Â
The event is sponsored by Friends of the Library, Kona.
