More scam emails are arriving via email preying upon credit union members. The email, text and phone messages are phishing for account information. Police advise the public not to provide personal information over the phone, by text message or by e-mail.
Aloha Pacific Federal Credit Union on their website warns:
FRAUD ALERT – Text and Phone Scams
We’ve recently noticed an increase in text and phone message fraud using our name. Both ask for sensitive information regarding your account. Remember, we NEVER ask for personal, account or card information by phone, internet or other electronic device. Only use our official phone numbers and website (www.kalanet.com).
