The renovations at Kamakana Playground are heading into the last week of a 60-day schedule. Many details still must be attended to, community project manager Cliff Kopp said, and volunteers still are needed at Higashihara Park.

On Sunday, May 3, Kopp wrote:

Day 52 is in the books. The keiki playground is put together thanks to a great weekend team.  Painting is on schedule as well. We go at it once again Monday and would like to see  some new faces.  We are exhausted, and could use more hands.

If you can help out, just show up or give Kopp a call at 989-7072 or e-mail kamakanaplayground@hawaii.rr.com.
