Book sale, storytelling at Kailua-Kona Library

To kick off National Library Week (April 12-18), local storyteller Linda Pearson will stop by Kailua-Kona Public Library 10a.m.-noon Saturday, April 11 to tell stories and read “Where the Wild Things Are” and other children’s books.

Concurrently, the Friends of the Libraries, Kona (FOLK) will hold its book sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the lanai.  A large number of fiction, nonfiction and children’s books are available.

Funds raised from sales help to support the needs of the three Kona libraries, as well as community, craft, and reading programs for youth. Come stock up on reading materials and support your libraries at the same time.

Volunteers are always welcome. Call 328-0203.
