Chamber hosting West Hawaii business expo

MEDIA RELEASE

Meet members of the West Hawaii business community at the second annual Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce Business Expo noon-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 23 at the Old Kona Airport pavilion.

The event is free.

Sponsored by the chamber, the event showcases new and existing KKCC businesses and provides educational resources for commerce and the community.

Workshops and educational seminars will be opened at noon by Mayor Billy Kenoi.

Lunch items will be available for purchase noon-5 p.m. to allow the business community to visit during a lunch break. Menu options include chicken caesar salad, chicken caesar wrap with chips or a slice of pizza and side salad.  Pre-sale lunch tickets can be purchased on the chamber Web site or by calling the office.

In addition, a pau hana networking event, similar to the chamber’s popular monthly AfterHours, is 5-7 p.m. with an admission fee of $10 for chamber members and $15 for non-members. Beverage and pupus will be served to participants.

The free expo remains open during the pau hana.

“The Business Expo is an excellent venue in which the community can network with chamber businesses and obtain educational and business resources,” said Vivian Landrum, executive director of KKCC.
