A head-on collision occurred Sunday afternoon near the Star of the Sea Painted Church on Highway 130 in Kalapana. The accident sent four people to the hospital, a woman in critical condition from a pick-up along with two men and a woman from a sedan. Traffic was stopped in both directions along the highway as fire/rescue crews tended to the injured and put out the pick-up truck on fire.
