The skies cleared up Wednesday just in time for the Konawaena vs. Hilo girls softball game. Great defense and pitching were the order for the first two innings. While Konawaena went scoreless in their half of the third inning Hilo erupted for three runs. Hilo’s Scottlyn Wong kept the visiting Wildcats scoreless up to the sixth inning when the visitors brought home their lone run. Host Hilo scored two more runs in the fourth inning and added another run in the fifth to cap their scoring at six.
