Interested in learning the basics of budgeting, savings and credit?

“Life-long Lessons in Financial Management,” a free class sponsored by the Hawai`i County Office of Housing and Community Development, will be offered several times in Hilo and Kona.

In Hilo, the complete eight-hour class will be held 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 11. The same class will be split into two sessions, 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays May 9 and May 23 in Hilo. The class will be held again in two sessions from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays June 6 and June 27. Hilo classes will be held at 1990 Kino`ole Street, Suite 104.

In Kona, the class will be held in two sessions from 8 a.m. to noon on Thursday, April 2 and Friday, April 3. Separate, condensed versions of the class will be held 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday June 18. Kona classes will be held in the Mayor’s Kona office, 75-5706 Kuakini Highway, Suite 103.

Participants must attend either the complete eight-hour class, two four-hour sessions, or one condensed version of the class to receive a certificate of attendance and completion.
