The library has been closed since January 4, 2009 for renovations which included re-roofing, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance projects as well as health and safety repair work according to Paul Mark of Hawaii State Public Library System.
The re-roofing has been completed but the renovation work for windows and the children’s section restroom will continue for several weeks.
