MEDIA RELEASE

The Hawaii Island Humane Society has begun accepting entries for the 2010 Pets in Paradise Calendar. 

The calendar will feature two cover models plus monthly pin-up pets. All submitted entry images will be included and used throughout the calendar.

Entries can be downloaded from www.HIHS.org or picked up from any Humane Society shelter in Kona, Waimea or Keaau.

 

Entries are $15 each and there is no limit to the number of entries an individual may submit. Entry deadline is 4 p.m. Friday, May 8. 

Photo tips: 

* HIHS recommends natural outdoor settings with uncluttered backgrounds to achieve the best results in the picture that should feature the pet as the center of attention.  

* Images showcasing our Big Island paradise are encouraged. 

* Any pet image may be submitted and could include, for example, dogs, cats, horses, donkeys, birds, goats or fish.
