Zane and Notley Lead Vulcans at Burns Intercollegiate

*Stephen Zane* and *Lloyd Notley* shot 1-over-par 73s but the University of Hawai‘i at Hilo duffers ended in a tie for 45th place after the first day of the John Burns Intercollegiate on the Leilehua Golf Course in Wahiawa, Hawai‘i.

Arizona’s Tarquin Macmanus leads San Jose State’s Jay Myers and BYU’s Jordan Hammer by two strokes for medalist honors with an 8-under-par 64. Four players are tied in fourth place with 5-under-par 67s.

Zane led the Vulcan squad that consists of *Logan Goulding* (T53, 74), *Zady Ari* (T53, 74), *Christopher Armanini* (T82, 77) and *Jesus Valdivia* (T82, 77).

Notley was one of three Vulcans competing as individuals. Also in the field are *Johnathan Hirata* (T91, 80) and *Isaac Jaffurs* (T94, 83).

Arizona holds the top team spot with a 12-under-par 276. They are followed by New Mexico (277), Arkansas (280), Brigham Young University (281), Auburn (283), Nevada (284), Southern Methodist and UC Santa Barbara (285), Texas A&M and Colorado State (286), San Diego and Nevada Las Vegas (287), Denver (291), Hawai‘i Manoa (292), San Jose State (293), *Hawai‘i Hilo* and Texas El Paso (298).
