Congresswoman Mazie Hirono is visiting West Hawaii this week.

The Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce is assisting Hirono in organizing a meeting on Friday, Feb. 20.

The topics for discussion at this meeting will be the economy, the stimulus package and the PRE-K Act (Providing Resources for Kids – H.R. 702). The PRE-K Act is a bill Hirono reintroduced this session that establishes a partnership between states and the federal government to improve state-funded pre-school programs serving children through age five.

Meeting is 10 a.m.-noon Friday, Feb. 20 at King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel.
