Entertainers kept Sunday’s Kokua Kailua Village Stroll lively with everything from a keiki hula performance to guitar soloists and traveling ukulele players.

The monthly event, inaugurated last year to encourage residents and visitors to spend their time and money in the village, is centered around the regular schedule of concerts at Hulihee Palace.

Sunday’s concert honored Princess Ruth (1826-1883), half-sister of King Kamehameha IV and V who inherited Hulihee after the death of her husband. Highlighting the afternoon was a performance by Kumu Hula Etua Lopes and his Halau Na Pua Ui O Hawaii keiki.

The palace grounds filled to overflowing for the show, while artists and merchants offered their wares along Alii Drive.

The next palace concert and village stroll is slated for Sunday, March 15.
