No tsunami threat to Hawaii from 7.2 earthquake in Indonesia

A 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck the Kepulauan Talaud in Indonesia at 7:35 a.m. Hawaii time. Based upon historical earthquake and tsunami data no destructive widespread tsunami threat exists. It is not known if a local tsunami has been generated in Indonesia.
