REMINDER: APPLICATIONS DUE FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 13, 2009 FOR THE
NORTH AND SOUTH KOHALA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PLAN ACTION COMMITTEES
The County of Hawaii Planning Department will be accepting applications for the North and South Kohala Community Development Plans Action Committees until Friday, February 13, 2009. The Action Committees will be part of an exciting new process – the Kohala communities and county government working together to implement the community visions for the future.
All residents of North and South Kohala are encouraged to apply. The goal is to have Action Committees that provide representation for the districts of North and South Kohala and represents the many perspectives of the community.
Volunteers who serve on the Action Committees will be asked to attend monthly meetings, meet with supporting partners, participate in training workshops and or retreats, help organize and attend public involvement meetings, workshops and or charrettes, and serve as a source for promoting and sharing information about the North and South Kohala Community Development Plans with individuals and community groups.

Applications can also be picked up at the Hilo or Kona offices of the County of Hawaii Planning Department located at 101 Pauahi Street, Suite 3, Hilo and 75-5706 Kuakini Hwy, Ste., 109, Kailua-Kona, HI 96740.
Deadline to submit an application is February 13, 2009 4:30PM
